Beginning with the front board: It is soiled with a deep scratch down paste-on illustration. Corners are firm and square. Spine: It is sunned and titling illegible, but is not chipped or torn and remains solid. Back board: There is light shelf-wear and soiling. Corners are firm and square. End papers: Both front and back endpapers are without markings, drawings or scribbling. Front end paper has a small blemish at lower right corner. The book: It is tight and solid. Most interior pages have light edge-wrinkling and finger soiling. The Plates: Frontispiece-There is a 1" closed tear and two light scratches at lower right of plate. There is edge wrinkling; Plate 2 page 12-There is a 1/2" closed tear at bottom edge; Plate 3 page 20-There is light soiling; Plate 4 page 26-There is light soiling; Plate 5 page 32-There is a 4" scratch at middle of plate; Plate 6 page 42-There is a small dog-ear and light wrinkling at top edge; Plate 7 page 48-There is light soiling, and Plate 8 page 56-There is light soiling. All this having been described, this is still a lovely children's book with illustrations that convey the delilghtful wonders of the story. Insurance may apply. Please inquire. Questions welcome.
