Book has dark red paper boards with "Exultations" on cover, which is the probable second issue without "of" on front cover. Rubbing at top and bottom spine ends, top right corner of front board rubbed through. No markings found in the book. Binding is tight and square. Only 500 copieswere bound for both issues. LONDON THE OVID PRESS 1920 FIRST LIMITED SIGNED EDITION Hardcover Very Good NONE
This is number 2* of 100 signed copies. Signed by Ezra Pound on the verso of the title page. Original brown and tan cloth-backed boards, with white paper title label on upper board printed in blue-black. Printed on handmade paper, with all edges untrimmed. Considered by many to be Pound's masterpiece and his most important work. The poem has been the subject of countless studies and analysis. The brown boards show light soiling as does the tan cloth spine. The upper and lower corners of the front board of this thin volume are slightly 'pinched'. All edges show very light shelf-wear. There is a light blemish at top left edge of front board. The tan spine has clean, even coloring. The book is tight and square, unusual for this book because of the very poor binding techniques used to produce it. This is the Crown Jewel of Ezra Pound's work, and worthy of any fine library. The Egoist Ltd.,, London, 1919. Cloth-backed Boards Tan Spine. Book Condition: Very Good. Signed Limited Edition. Tall 8vo (10" x 6.5") This is No. 9* of 100 numbered copies SIGNED BY POUND. Printed on hand-made paper with the misprint on p.34, "wherefore" corrected to "wherefrom" in Pound's hand. The grey boards show light rubbing and light bumping at top corners of front and back boards. There is very light foxing at some page edges. The paste-on title strip on spine has moderate rubbing. The book is tight and square. All that having been said, this is a lovely copy, worthy of any fine library and especially to the Ezra Pound collector. Questions welcome and more pictures available.

This is the First American edition, with Ford Maddox [sic] misspelled on dedication page, later corrected on the First British edition. Gallup B4a. Billingual with Italian and English text. 119 pp. Grey boards with ivory vellum spine and corners. No dustjacket as issued. Gold gilt label on spine is bright and crisp, but there is rubbing to other parts of the spine. There is a 1" x 1/4" piece missing from top left edge of spine . Wear to board extremities. There is light wear to all edges, with tips of corners worn to the cardboard. There are no markings in the book and it is square and tight. The pages show a hint of browning at all edges. Questions welcome.
