This is an eight-booklet set in illustrated box. The eight books are: A MERRY COASTING PARTY, 3700A, Paper wraps; A ROBBER MEETS HIS MATCH, 3700B, Linen-like wraps; PADDY'S SURPRISE VISITOR, 3700C, Paper wraps; REDDY FOX'S SUDDEN ENGAGEMENT, 3700D, Linen-like wraps; PETER RABBIT PROVES A FRIEND, 3700E, Linen-like wraps; THE THREE LITTLE BEARS, 3700F, Linen-like wraps; BOBBY COON'S MISTAKE, 3700G, Linen-like wraps and YOUNG FLASH THE DEER, 3700H, Linen-like wraps. All the books have light shelf-wear. 3700B has a blemish and wrinkling on back panel and 3700G and 3700H have light wrinkling at back panels. All the books are free of markings and previous owners name. The illustrated box is shelf-worn with corner repairs and some creasing, but the wonderful Cady illustration is bright and clear. All this is housed in a custom-made wood display case with a maroon velvet lining. The case can lay flat or stand upright. It makes a beautiful library display or for a child's room. OLD GRANNY FOX IS THE FOURTH OF A GROUP OF FOUR IN THE (BURGESS TRADE QUADDIES MARK) GREEN MEADOW SERIES. OLD GRANNY FOX, THORNTON W. BURGESS, ILLUSTRATOR - HARRISON CADY, LITTLE BROWN, BOSTON, 1920 EDITION, (1926 PRINTING), 202 PAGES. CONDITION OF BOOK: This book is graded very good. Green cloth on bds., lettering and design of trees stamped in dark geen and yellow, full-col. illus. pasted in center. The previous owner neatly penned his name on the first blank flyleaf. There is a very slight cock to spine. That having been said, we collated the book page by page. There are no tears, no writing and not one dog-ear. The book has the 'feel' of a once-read book. All corners of the book are square and firm. Since this has the original dust jacket, the Cady illustration on the front board is crisp and bright, with vivid colors, as is the lettering on front board and spine. This is a one-owner book.
